Shakti Sutradhar - Empowering Women Through the Art of Craftsmanship
At House of Kimyrah, we are proud to introduce Shakti Sutradhar, an initiative dedicated to empowering destitute women by providing them with valuable tailoring skills. Our program focuses on comprehensive skill development in tailoring, equipping women with the knowledge and expertise needed to produce high-quality garments. By mastering these skills, participants can secure a sustainable livelihood, gain financial independence, and build a better future for themselves and their families.
We will begin with tailoring training programs, and as the program evolves, we will expand to teach women additional skills such as weaving and block printing. This ensures a diverse set of skills, enhancing their opportunities for income generation and personal growth.
Through Shakti Sutradhar, women are not only trained in the technical aspects of tailoring but also in entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to start their own tailoring businesses or secure employment in the garment industry. This holistic approach ensures that they can generate a steady income, improve their economic status, and achieve a sense of pride and confidence in their abilities.

However, in keeping with our commitment to sustainable fashion, we are proud to introduce the “Kimyrah Punarjanma” (Kimyrah Rebirth) program.
This innovative initiative is designed to recall our garments at the end of their life cycle. Through Kimyrah Punarjanma, we aim to recycle and upcycle these exquisite fabrics, transforming them into new creations that continue to embody their original beauty and value. By doing so, we ensure that the legacy of each garment lives on, contributing to a sustainable fashion cycle that honors both the environment and the artisans who brought these masterpieces to life.
